Dr. Janusz Kozinski  is conducting research on sustainable energy systems. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Science & Technology in Krakow, Poland. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Visiting Professor at the CNRS-Orléans in France, the University of Utah, and the Imperial College in England. Dr. Koziński was Sir William Dawson Scholar and Associate Vice-Principal (Research & International Relations) at McGill University. He also served as Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. He is currently Dean of the Faculty of Science & Engineering at York University. The goal of his work is to develop multidisciplinary research in various areas linking energy and environmental issues, as well as a mechanistic understanding of the complex interactions between the physical phenomena and chemical processes, which govern the behavior of fuels in energy systems. He completed the prestigious Oxford Advanced Management & Leadership Programme at Oxford University, and the Executive Education Program on Crisis Leadership in Higher Education at Harvard University.
