Health and Safety is an important aspect of the work environment. It has an effect on you and those around you. The Faculty of Science and Engineering is concerned with the health and safety of it's employee and students. We strive to ensure a safe environment for all by:
TrainingA document that outlines the training requirements has been prepared. A list of upcoming training has been posted for sessions that have already been scheduled. If you have a few people in your group that require a certain training course, let me know and I can have special training sessions arranged.
First AidThe Faculty of Science and Engineering has designated first aid stations within each of their buildings.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ProtocolsMaterial Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)The Faculty of Science and Engineering has developed a database of MSDS used within the Faculty. The databasecan be searched and each MSDS can then be downloaded or printed.
Emergency Preparedness ProgramIn each building that the Faculty of Science and Engineering operates Emergency Response Wardens have been estabished to assist in an evacuation.
