NEW! natural disasters explorations Available for ages 8 - 11 A new specialty science camp only for the summer of 2012 designed for ages 8-11 to explore natural disasters on earth and from space with themed days. This camp offers hands-on activities, simulation of natural disasters and building the world's next disaster-resistant structures.
Available for ages 8 - 11 A fun-filled science camp with activities from the areas of biology, chemistry, and physics. In previous years our campers took part in exciting activities such as designing and building sustainable house models, exploring microbiology using microscopes, and extracting DNA from various fruits. In addition to the camp programming, the campers have opportunity to explore the university facilities, for example the York Observatory, and interact with university faculty and graduate students.
engineering explorations Available for ages 11 - 14 A challenging camp where students put their minds to work, conducting engineering-based experiments. In previous years, our campers designed many different types of structures, such as amusement park rides and skyscrapers, and completed many challenging tasks such as programming robots, and wiring their very own electrical gameboards. When away from the classroom, our campers attend presentations held by various York teams, such as the York University Rover Team, and visit many of our interactive facilities, such as the Visual Graphics & Robotics Lab.
