The York University Science Speakers Bureau consists of members of the Faculty of Science and Engineering who give FREEtalks at an appropriate level about their research work, recent developments in science, or even items currently in the news.


Whether you wish to complement or supplement the Ontario science curriculum, to inspire interest in post secondary education in science, or to enhance scientific literacy, the Faculty of Science and Engineering at York University is pleased to be able to assist with your needs. The speakers can be flexible; therefore talks can be modified to suit your needs.


Talks may be presented at your facility or at York University's Keele campus, with opportunities to tour the campus, its science teaching facilities, research laboratories and science library.

Science Rendezvous, May 12, 2012

University Professor Emeritus Ronald Pearlman of York’s Faculty of Science & Engineering has been named president of the prestigious Royal Canadian Institute (RCI) for the Advancement of Science. Brock Harpur awarded Elia Scholarship

Congratulations s to Brock Harpur for wining the ultra-competitive Elia Scholarship from York University.The Elia Scholars Program is York University’s most prestigious graduate award, and Brock will use it to carry out his Doctoral research on honey bee immunity in Dr. Amro Zayed's laboratory.   Great job Brock!
