The Faculty of Science, in partnership with the Career Centre, currently offers a pilot co-op program for students majoring in Biochemistry, the Biotechnology stream of the Biology Specialised Honours program, Chemistry, Environmental Biology, and Environmental Science.
For many students co-op is a way of exploring career options, gaining new skills, applying theoretical knowledge in a real-world environment and sampling what the world of work might look like after graduation. But it is more than that. By alternating work terms with academic terms and asking students to reflect on the connections between the two, we expect students to deepen their learning. In other words co-op is not just about the work – it’s also about the learning.
Our co-op positions are paid, full-time employment opportunities, which offer competitive salaries. So co-op can also help you finance your education.
