Prostate Cancer Canada (PCC) invites applications for investigator-initiated grants in survivorship research. This request for applications (RFA) solicits research proposals from groups taking novel approaches to studies focusing on the behavioural, physical, psychosocial, social/family, mental, functional, spiritual, emotional and practical concerns of daily living. Projects should aim to inform the development and delivery of interventions and best practices in follow-up care for cancer patients, survivors and their families and caregivers.
Applicants may apply as a principal investigator, an independent investigator, a co-principal investigator or a co-investigator. Applicants may only submit one application. (An investigator can be named as a PI or Co-PI on only one application in this competition). Applicants may not submit the same application to more than one PCC funding mechanism; the most appropriate competition for funding must be selected.
The total amount available for this funding opportunity is $3M. An applicant may request a total budget of up to $1,500,000 (direct costs).
The maximum period is 5 years.
For details, please consult the PCC website, review the PCC Targeted RFA in Survivorship Research document, or access the online application.
