The University of Tokyo (UTokyo), through a grant from the Amgen Foundation, is accepting applications from students who are intending to continue to graduate studies, for an eight week (from June 8 to July 31, 2015) hands-on research experience in the biomedical field (basic and translational sciences).
Opportunities for research experience are being provided by 40 research laboratories in 5 of the graduate schools and research institutes of UTokyo (Graduate School of Engineering, Graduate School of Science, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Institute of Industrial Science) where students will be able to gain valuable experience in research.
Additionally there will be opportunities for the students to take part in tours and guidance about the university, and other events organized to maximize their experience as Amgen Scholars at UTokyo. The Amgen Scholars selected will each receive financial support that will cover their return travel and accommodation expenses during the program, and also receive a stipend to cover their daily expenses.
