Bee expert Laurence Packer receives Nature Inspiration Award
Biology Professor Laurence Packer, a world-renowned scientist on wild bees, has won a Nature Inspiration Award (Adult Category) from the Canadian Museum of Nature.
One of his many accomplishments has included creating and growing a bee collection at York University that has now become the largest in Canada and one of the most diverse in the world. His lab includes more than 300,000 specimens representing more than 90 percent of the world’s known bee genera from more than 100 countries.
